Lesson Plans

THESE LESSON PLANS WITH THEIR POWERPOINTS ARE OFFERED TO INTERESTED TEACHERS.
TEACHERS CAN MODIFY THESE LESSON PLANS ACCORDING TO STATE STANDARDS AND THE GRADE LEVEL BEING TAUGHT.

IN ADDITION TO LESSON PLANS WE INCLUDE HERE GUEST LECTURES BY OUR COLLEAGUES ON A RANGE OF RELEVANT TOPICS. WE THINK THESE LECTURES SHOULD BE USED AS ENRICHMENT FOR COLLEGE-BOUND SENIORS. WE HAVE USED VARIOUS OF THEM IN OUR OWN COURSES.

WE WELCOME CORRECTIONS AND ADDITIONS.

PULL DOWN THE MENU TAB TO ACCESS THE WEB PAGE OF EACH TOPIC OR USE THE LINKS BELOW.

THE LECTURES BY OUR UNIVERSITY AND PROFESSIONAL COLLEAGUES

A key goal of the Mythic Mississippi Project has been to request lectures from scholars, heritage practitioners and other colleagues on particular themes of the project. We think all of these lectures have significant educational value and will enrich school curriculum as well as visits to many of the places covered by our project.
